Tracking the learning levels of each student and promoting holistic development is a salient feature of the national education policy.
Reforms in school curriculum: By teaching the students key modern 21st-century skills the policy aims to bring forward complete holistic development of each student in the education program. All rigid separation between different streams of learning such as science and arts would be terminated. Vocational education is going to be started very early and students after entering the 6th grade would be introduced to internship programs.

This would be preferably carried till the 8th grade and beyond. No language would be made mandatory to learn and hence the student will be able to be comfortable with the language of their choice.
Inclusive education: No child would miss out on opportunities due to the circumstances of their birth and background. The policy pays special emphasis to children who are from economically weaker sections of society. Special education zones have been planned to be set up in many different regions where underprivileged or disabled children exist. All school infrastructure would be made free and institutions would be made to pay more attention to children from Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Groups.
Financial support: Meritorious students who belong to socially and economically disadvantaged groups and students belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC backgrounds would be offered financial help. Students would be offered scholarships based on their merit and the government plans to help each student receive the best education.
