It was an immense pleasure to the Montessori department, as we came together to celebrate the 152nd Birthday of Dr. Maria Montessori, the founder of Montessori method of education. Children were dressed in the shades of pink and white. All of them got a rose and a candle, as a mark of respect, a photo of Dr. Maria Montessori was placed and candles were lit which was surrounded by colourful roses. Children were very happy to know that the materials with which they work were designed by Dr. Maria Montessori. To add more to their happiness, on account of the birthday celebration, sweets were distributed to them.
Deepawali, the festival of light is celebrated in Montessori department on 21st October. Children, dressed in colourful traditional attire arrived at school in the morning.
The significance of the festival was explained to them by their class teachers. Safe celebration regarding lit diyas and crackers were informed to them. All the children recieved a take away of handcrafted diyas.
As the saying goes, " ....thamasoma jyothirgamaya.." was celebrated meaningfully.
FUN AND FROLIC event for our tiny toddlers along with their mothers.
It was a bright sunny morning on the 5th of November. The parents were more than happy to
join us with their children. The day began with the teachers inviting them to their respective classes.
The children were eager to show their classrooms to their parents.
Parents shook a leg for the opening dance and freeze activity along with the children which started the day as vibrant as ever.
Teachers had carefully selected a few fun filled games, where both children and parents enjoyed participating enthusiastically.
It was truly a wonderful sight to watch our cheerful children and parents unwind and having fun among themselves.
The event ended with the serving of light refreshments
At National Public School, Bsk, the Montessori Department celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on the 2nd November 2022, with high pride.
The children and the faculty were dressed in yellow and red to symbolise their immense respect for our Karnataka state flag.
Teachers and the children spoke only in kannada language for the whole day even during their working hours to mark the celebration.
The young minds were enlightened about the history of Kannada Rajyotsava by their respective teachers.
Added to this, children participated enthusiastically by reciting rhymes, shlokas, and patriotic songs in kannada; songs like “Jaya bharatha jananiya tanu jaate….” and
“Jogada siri belakinalli….” were sung by many children on this occasion.
At the end of the day there was an audio-visual treat for the children when they watched videos on famous monuments of Karnataka, well known poets and
also a brief introduction to the history of Karnataka.
Overall it was a memorable and knowledgeable celebration for the children. A big thanks to the parents who dressed and helped their children to make the event a grand success.
Ganesha chaturti was celebrated by the Montessori department with elegance on 27th August 2022.
45 different types of Ganeshas were arranged on a round table in the reception area.
Children came dressed in ethnic wear to add on colour to the celebration.
They walked around the Ganesha arrangement and were surprised to see so many types of Ganeshas.
To name a few, there were dancing Ganesha, happy Ganesha, laddoo eating Ganesha, and so on… there was a team of imaginary idols of a team of Ganesha playing cricket.
The tiny tots were amazed to see this arrangement.By the end of the day children received their handmade takeaways which added crown to their excitement.
Onam, the colourful and the vibrant festival of Kerala was celebrated on 7th of September. It was a great pleasure to receive children in traditional attire early in the morning. They were amazed to see all the teachers in white sarees of Kerala.
After the prayer, children joined the teachers in completing the last leg of Pookalam, mandala with flowers of different colours. They thoroughly enjoyed it. A traditional dance recital by teachers was the surprise event for the children of Mont 3. They were very happy to watch the program
