Today our Montessori children gathered excitedly to celebrate International Mother Language Day. It was a day of joyous cultural exchange and appreciation. A day when our little voices echoed the richness of our diverse backgrounds.
Each child proudly either narrated a story or sang song/rhyme/prayer in their mother language. The little spectators sat on mats eagerly listening to tales/songs from different cultural languages.
In the eyes of those small ones International Mother Language Day was a reaffirmation of the beauty of linguistic diversity. It was a day of learning and appreciation - a day they would cherish & remember.
