Books are the source of documenting thoughts and refreshing memories.
NPS Banashankari celebrated its Library Week from 14 Nov 2016 – 19 Nov 2016. Students of Grade IV introduced the cartoon characters from fiction in the assembly. Reading and listening are two unimpeachable activities that draw us to bliss. Students of Grade II and III had a story telling session by Mr. Shaji Mathew which they enjoyed to the summit. Followed by this, a retreat for book lovers, ‘Book Fair’ was organised for 3 days and Children enjoyed researching, selecting, accumulating lot of books. It was a literary feast for them. Students of Grade VI & VII were addressed by the author Swapna Datta. The session was very productive. It helped the children to explore their flair for reading.
To quench the thirst for reading, we had a complete session on 18.11.16 as a Reading Day, Students and parents participated and enjoyed it to the core and proved that reading is a pleasure.
Scholastic India conducted colouring competition for Grades I and II. A written quiz was conducted for Grades III to V followed by a ‘Quiz-A-Thon’, for Grader VI to VIII to challenge their minds and answer the queries assailed.
