School Picnic - Grades X-XII
On the 16th of November, 2016, the students of Grades X-XII went to Mysuru, on account of the educational trip organized by our school. We started early morning from the school and reached Mysuru at around 10.30 am. Our first stop was the Mysore Palace, also known as the Lakshmi Vilas Palace, where we hired a tour guide to show us around the palace. Everyone was captivated by the grandeur of the palace. Students got an opportunity to know about the Wodeyar dynasty and and many other interesting historical facts.
Then, we visited St. Philomena’s Church and went through the underground catacomb right below the church. After lunch, we set of to the Mysore zoo which is also known as Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens. At the zoo, we saw a variety of birds, reptiles, mammals and predators from the black buck, hornbill, giraffes, zebras, bison to pythons, tigers, lions, wolves and monkeys. Although the trip to the zoo was quite tiring, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. We boarded the bus after visiting the zoo at around 6.00 pm to return to Bengaluru. We reached school at around 10.20 pm. On the whole, the trip was a pleasant break from our daily routine and the memories we made on this trip will be cherished for long.
